Our excursion or class trip is an educational intent, in which students interact with the setting, displays, and exhibits to gain an experiential connection to the ideas, concepts, and subject matter. This helps our students to explore unlocked edu-tainment potentials, which includes:

1. To provide firsthand experience,
2. To stimulate interest and motivation in science,
3. To add relevance to learning and interrelationships,
4. To strengthen observation and perception skills, and
5. To promote personal (social) development

Imperial Secondary School has Semi Olympic size swimming pool, Imperial teaches students swimming as part of our extra curriculum activities. This gala is open to all students Each student have to do a freestyle and backstroke race and sign up for at least one of the fun events. Events are arranged so that all swimmers, regardless of their level are able to take part safely. The house captains have added responsibilities in organising students and making sure they take part on the races. This a great leadership opportunity for them and they step up well to take the lead. Bonus points are awarded throughout the swimming competition and for house cheering.

We are proud of our wide range of sports and games. The increasing rates of childhood obesity suggests that many children do not engage in enough physical activity, spend too much time engaged in sedentary activities, and make poor nutritional choices. The benefits of sport participation in our school environment in terms of physical fitness, health benefits, cognitive development, personal wellbeing, and social integration are extensively reported. Because sport participation in the education sector is so closely linked with PE, school sport ,and other in-school physical activity opportunities, the observed benefits are often attributed to several sources. The contribution of the school environment to a child’s daily physical activity collectively through sport and PE can be substantial. Sport offers a value-added proposition to every curriculum area; challenging critical thinking skills, decision making, and moral reasoning. The introduction of sport in our environment, particularly through teams activities, provides a social network for our students, based on common interests outside the classroom. Sport provides another pathway for the fulfilment of personal potential. Sport also allows young people to take on leadership roles and responsibilities.

WHY SINIA LA UPENDO?
Learning is essential for both personal development and the building of a community. But it’s easier said than done!! When, for example, one has spent a lot of time and poured a lot of energy into one’s education, it can be quite a blow to hear that one might be wrong. Similarly, when one identifies oneself with a certain knowledge base, it can be quite difficult when it becomes clear that this knowledge base might be, even just in part, false. There is the love that others have for us, making of our mistakes nothing more than a passing event that does not define our inner worth. This same love makes others NEVER feel superior to us because they know more than we do. This same love makes others happy when we succeed, and proud of us when we surpass them. We therefore believe that, LOVE is one of the best lubricants to facilitate learning despite the EGO !!
